Dr. Manahil Akmal holds the position of Managing Director of Education and Executive Editor in Chief at MedAngle, reporting to CEO Dr. Mohammad Azib. Dr. Manahil Akmal is a recent graduate from the Dow University of Health Sciences. After completing her medical degree, she plans to get a Master's in Narrative Medicine and pursue her residency in neurology. She has a deep interest in academia, and has served as a mentor and personal tutor to many school, college and pre-medical students. Working with students has provided her with a keen insight into their academic challenges and has led her to develop a strong passion for bringing innovation and technology-enhanced learning into the current education system. Alongside her career in medicine, she aims to work on projects that would make medical studies simpler and easier and medical school a more enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Having a penchant for the written word, Manahil loves penning down her medical school experiences and patient encounters and has been featured on forums like KevinMD. She also serves as an editor and contributor for JPMS Medical Blogs, a literary legacy of her school alumni. When not occupied with studies and work commitments, she enjoys reading fiction, writing for her blog, binge-watching TV shows and listening to TED Talks.
