Compare
UWorld is one of the best-known USMLE question banks. StepGPT is a study system for what happens after you answer a question. They solve different problems, so here’s how they compare.
USMLE Step 1 · Step 2 CK · Step 3
UWorld is a USMLE question bank ($349 for 30 days of USMLE QBank access) with explanations, its UAsk AI assistant, flashcards, and My Notebook. StepGPT ($55/month) is MedAngle’s USMLE study system: it analyzes the questions you add, generates new Anki cards automatically, explains any clue with Highlight Help, and maps reasoning with Clinical Chain.
A QBank gives you questions and explanations. What you do with each explanation, like the cards you make, the concepts you look up, and the reasoning you rebuild, is up to you.
StepGPT is built for that second half. It turns the question you’re studying into a breakdown, a reasoning map, and cards you’ll actually review.
UWorld offers a full USMLE QBank with explanations, UAsk for AI help inside the QBank (usage limits apply), its own flashcards, and My Notebook for organizing notes.
